Owner and President / CEO Dean deTonnancourt has been a driving force in the real estate industry for 35 years . A lifelong resident of Rhode Island , deTonnancourt opened the first East Coast franchise of HomeSmart in 2014 . That same year , he was chosen REALTOR of the Year by the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS and , in 2019 , served as its president . Nationally recognized for his leadership and industry expertise , deTonnancourt regularly speaks on both the local and national stage . HomeSmart Professionals is a rising star , recently recognized as one of HomeSmart International ’ s top large brokerages nationwide .

During this first ambitious decade , his organization has grown from a single location into a thriving , recognized brand with six locations and nearly 300 agents . Known for their fun , inclusive culture , these professionals are educated in the latest technology and market trends .
