2020 Reflection - Tips for Reaching your Goals in 2021

What a year . You would think that this would be an easy article to write , however , COVID-19 created a unique situation that many agents were not prepared for . While most of us would reflect upon connections we made and takeaways from the numerous real estate events we attended , this year , we spent time cooped up in our homes , still wondering if Carol Baskin killed her husband ( oh … you haven ’ t watched Tiger King ? Never too late !).
In my 10 years of being a part of the real estate space , I learned the most this year . Here are a few tips that will hopefully help you reach your goals in 2021 :

Do not create a crisis plan during a crisis — start now !

When the pandemic started , many brokerages and agents I spoke with were worried about inventory . When a pandemic occurs or the market slows down , you should not be asking yourself “ What next ?” If you are , you my friend , have a BIG problem . You should start with the following today :
A sales process : If you read any sales book , you will see that although each have their own technique , they all provide a process to follow . One of my favorite books for real estate professionals is “ Ninja Selling ” by Larry Kendall . There are several out there ; pick one and follow it religiously .
