Mile 62 by MoxiWorks Issue 40: October 2020 | Page 4

Letter from the editor
We’ve set October’s edition as the myth-busting issue. I can’t think of a more ubiquitous joke among real estate professionals than convincing our non-real estate friends that our work and our lives are not just like the reality TV shows. We don’t tie up a buyer’s complicated journey in half an hour with three purchase options. We can’t pull together a home remodel prior to selling in less than a week. The nuance and the nitty-gritty details don’t make for pretty television, but they’re the trials and challenges we overcome every day.

So, in this month’s issue, let’s flip the script and turn the tables on assumptions about our careers. Real estate is a diverse, complex, entrepreneurial endeavor and should be respected for the amazing stories and successes it produces.

Should you be sharing the same generalized social media content as everyone else? No way. That’s why our friends at WikiRealty have shared a step-by-step hyperlocal content strategy guide.

Then check out our list of real estate professional myths that we’ve busted. Or, go beyond the expected and browse our advice for how to list and sell a haunted house (it’s that time of year).

If this is your first issue of MILE62, thank you for joining us! If you’ve been with us for the last three years, you know that we continuously change to serve the needs of our audience. As you discover these stories, we encourage you to submit your own. We’re always looking for agents who want to write, share their success and findings, and contribute to helping us all become real estate champions.

Let’s sell more homes together,
