Video killed the social media star

Mercedes Santiago, MoxiWorks Marketing Coordinator
For some time, it was hard
to accept that a social
media presence was nec-
essary for a company’s
success. Today, every busi-
ness is attempting to reach
their audience across mul-
tiple social platforms. With
a flood of commercial con-
tent, is social media going
to die off the way of other
media before it?
No way. The tracks are
greased and content is cre-
ated and delivered at near
light-speed. With faster
cellular networks, wider
public Wi-Fi access, and
smart devices in the hands
of nearly every American,
video content is dominat-
ing the internet. But, how
is that important for real
estate agents?
Vision is our most dominant
sense and video story-tell-
ing allows human connec-
tion to transend time and
location. Tube drives site traffic, in-
creases SEO, and connects
your videos to relevant au-
diences. Practically a busi-
ness no-brainer.
64% of consumers
will make a purchase
after watching
branded videos on
social platforms. But here’s the rub: video
can be intimidating.
Text, photos, and static im-
ages can be engaging, but
video gives you a chance
to humanize yourself and
connect on a more person-
al level with your audience. You may not be used to
being vulnerable, unpol-
ished (we say authentic) in
your advertising and media.
But luckily, with a few tips
and tricks you’ll be creating
videos like a real-estate-
superstar!
