walks out with is a top hat , so all he needs is a tiny table to hold that hat . It wasn ’ t until a magician asked him why he had such a big table to hold a hat that the revelation hit him that the table gave away the secret . He went back to the drawing board and created a method using a very thin table that ended up making sense and made the finale even more impossible .
THE IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF MAGIC KNOWLEDGE
Mike feels that one of the best things a young person could do to build their foundation is to get a job in a magic shop and learn how to demonstrate everything , not because you want to put the tricks in your act , but because each trick will demonstrate a different principle of magic . He also highly recommends reading as many of the older books and magazines as you can to really get an understanding of all the principles used in magic . So , when you are working on a trick you have this huge pool of knowledge to draw from instead of thinking of just one method . With this knowledge you can now think of four or five methods that will make something even more impossible , just as he did with his
