From their modest beginning in 1955 ( in the backroom of Brownie ’ s Hobby Shop ), The Long Beach Mystics attained a worldwide and enviable reputation for producing a seemingly endless supply of creative , professional magicians over a period of thirty years . Magic clubs today could take a leaf out of their book as to why it produced such an incredible line up of creative magicians . Even though the Long Beach Mystics ceased to exist in 1985 the bond between generations of members has never waned .
When he was fourteen and fifteen years old Mike would travel once a year to see the , It ’ s Amazing show put on by the famed Long Beach Mystics .
