The Three Worlds

by: Brian Medina

I know little, very little from the day I was told about the Three Worlds and what I was supposed to do to open them one day.

My Start

My mornings always end up the same from the day before since I could remember. The sunlight seeps through the leaves of my leafy tent and blinds my eyes so I can’t see my backpack for breakfast.

As my usual morning goes by with my survival in the woods and having to sneak up on my prey and slice them for food. I have been mostly doing this all my life; on the run, going from place to place because of who I am and what I am wanted for. I have never really gone to a city or town for a day. I have to stay hidden from people for safety precautions; I am not like regular but I have any characteristic like one, mostly what mattered was the inside of me, and yet I can’t fool anyone. I am part human and part alien (mostly human though).

I look through my stuff to see if everything is still there; flashlight, water bottle, small food parts, and other usable things. This has been all I needed for most of my life to survive for so long and so lightly. But of course my journey has a start and mine started with my father and his story of the Three Worlds and what their story is.

He would always say that the Three Worlds were led to three different planets filled with alien life like me being one type of the races from the three; Shitani, me being that one, Thitna, and Datsan. The planets are all frozen in time since the closing of the openings from when all was almost over from betrayal of three government officials from each of the three planets. My father said that we were lucky to escape our planet as well as very few other of our race. The three betrayers were frozen in the process of shutting down the portals; it was a suicide mission to do something like this, and it probably took some years to make a plan like this.
