Συνταγές της Μέσης Ανατολής
SEA FISH À LA CONGOLAISE
This recipe is quite ordinary in Central Africa. From Gabon and Congo
to Cameroun, this plate is really appreciated.
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 Fish
1 Onion, chopped
2-3 Tomatoes, chopped
100 g Celery, chopped
2-3 Laurel leaves
1-2 Green bell peppers
Salt
Pepper
Nutmeg
Olive oil
METHOD:
Put the fish in hot water, add some salt and boil.
Put a pot on the heat and add 5 table spoons of olive oil in it.
In order to make the sauce, leave the olive oil to be heated and then
add the onion, the tomatoes and stir. Add a sweet spoon of nutmeg,
2-3 laurel leaves, celery and green peppers all cut in pieces. Wait
approximately 30 minutes.
Add a glass of water in the sauce and wait 20 more minutes. Then put
also the fish in the sauce and add some salt. Stir and leave it for some
minutes on heat, until it is ready.
Serve with: Sweet potatoes, potatoes, rice and semolina.
