Lujan and Tarsio vie for District 4 Legislator By LAUREN BERG As for Kevindaryan Lujan’s close win for the democratic nomination, the race to fill the position left by Curlie Dillard as Orange County Legislature for District 4 lies between Lujan and Anthony Tarsio, the Independence party candidate. District 4 includes part of Newburgh’s Balmville and the East End of the city. Newburgh has had a historically low voter turnout, a problem not unique to the city or state. Your local candidates encourage you to read up on their positions, and come out and vote for your next local political leaders on November 7th, 2017.
