Master barber Anthony Mancinelli stood in front of a big birthday cake last Wednesday, as McDowell handed him one gift after another. “Craftsmanship like yours is a rare thing,” McDowell said, presenting the barber with a pair of gold shears, a WWII U.S. Army-issued shaving kit, a Gillette Braun Series 7 electric shaver and a print ad featuring a “flexible blade shaver” from 1911, the year of Mancinelli’s birth. Declared to be the “World’s Oldest Practicing Barber” by the Guinness Book of World Records, Mancinelli celebrated his 105th birthday surrounded by friends, family and television cameras. The Gillette Company sponsored the party, held at Fantastic Cuts in New Windsor last Wednesday, in honor of
