City: Newburgh gets too many parolees

Twenty people have been charged with
racketeering, narcotics and firearms
offenses in connection to activities by
the “Southside” street gang. The federal
charges bring potential life sentences.

The Norwegian Air Boeing 737 landed
smoothly just before sundown. Fifteen
minutes later, passengers were greeted
with applause as they walked into the
airport terminal. It was the airline’s
first ever, non-stop, transatlantic flight
between Edinburgh, Scotland, and
Stewart International Airport.
The route is one of five offered by
Norwegian this summer: flights to and
from Bergen, Norway, and Belfast, Dublin
and Shannon, Ireland, are scheduled to
begin in July.
“I love New York,” said Stewart Airport
General Manager Ed Harrison, speaking
at a ribbon-cutting ceremony held for the
airline at Stewart last Thursday.
“And, I love Norwegian Air, as well.
