3 Mid Hudson Times, Wednesday, July 4, 2018 Road work to begin in East End By SHANTAL RILEY [email protected] A New Jersey contractor will begin work to rebuild street curbs in the East End of the City of Newburgh in the next several weeks. The city awarded a bid to A-Tech Concrete Company to make street curbs compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The curb upgrades will be followed by road paving. “These roads need immediate attention,” said Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey at City Hall last week. The first phase of the curb-ramp improvement project will include 11 intersections in the northeast section of the city, along Grand and Montgomery streets.
