HOW TO REACH US OFFICE: 300 Stony Brook Court Newburgh, NY 12550 Luján sworn in at Newburgh ceremony Legislator Kevindaryán Luján (D/ WFP) was sworn in Tuesday at a small ceremony at the Old Courthouse in Newburgh. “I chose this site for my inauguration as a reminder of the past to guide our future. As the youngest member of the Legislature, I want to be part of restoring the image of Newburgh to people when they think of Orange County; this building was an equal to a similar courthouse in Goshen, when Newburgh and Goshen shared responsibility of county government. A healthy and vibrant Newburgh will be a boon to all of Orange County, that is what this building symbolized, that is what Newburgh will symbolize again,” said Luján. After acknowledgements to a number of people important to Luján, he began to lay out his legislative agenda including: protecting and purifying Newburgh’s watershed and drinking water, enhancing the county infrastructure, and bringing equitable and sustainable economic growth to the city by way of the county. “Newburgh is the gateway to Orange County, it is time to start investing in that gateway in order for the rest of the area to thrive as well,” Luján said .
