AYD The most powerful local arm of one of the most influential charity organizations in the country has done it again. The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh (HHGN) brought out hundreds of community members for its 17th annual Walk for Housing on April 16. The walk in its entirety was around three and a half miles, although many-including this out of shape author--took route shortcuts along the way. The Walk began near Washington’s Headquarters and concluded in the E. Parmenter Street Neighborhood, a shining example of the impact HHGN has had through the years on local housing and community development. In total this year’s walk raised more than $50,000. Founded in 1999 HHGN is one of 1500 local affiliates and the
