Mid-County introduces
Steve Solmonson
Steve Solmonson
With more than 35 years of fuel driving experience,
Mid-County Energy’s fuel driver Steve Solmonson
knows how to bring good service to all his customers.
“I like it when customers call and ask if Steve can
make a delivery,” Solmonson said. He had driven
the Long Lake route for Mayer Distributing before
Mid-County purchased the fixed base route portion in
December 2008. Now, he drives the same Long Lake
route for Mid-County.
For Solmonson, the best part of his job is meeting
new people and dealing with customers. He also likes to
bring treats for his customers’ dogs.
Solmonson has lived in Mound since 1981. He and
his wife have three children and five grandchildren.
Music and entertaining are Solmonson’s favorite hob-
bies, and he has played with the Daisy Dillman band for
more than 30 years. In his spare time, Solmonson enjoys
reading, as well as hunting, fishing, camping, and other
outdoor activities.
In December Mid-County acquired the fi xed base route portion of Mayer Dis-
tributing in Long Lake, an arrangement that is now benfi ting customers as well
as both companies. Pictured above is Steve Solmonson, Delivery Driver; Bill Re-
