As a student at Mid Cheshire College you will be entitled to a high standard of service, a quality educational experience and excellent pastoral care as detailed in our Student Charter. Fees for Further Education Courses Students aged 16-18 do not have to pay course fees or exam fees. There may be a charge for equipment and materials and for your course and field trips. However, you may apply to the Learner Support Fund for help towards course-related costs if you are experiencing financial difficulties. SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS Financial Support Our Learner Support Fund provides financial help to students facing difficulties. College Transport The College offers a range of support to help full-time students with the cost of transport. If you use an Arriva bus we offer a subsidy on a Student Saver Ticket. If you travel some other way and live more than 3 miles from College we offer a range of support, which includes travel grants and special College bus services from Runcorn and Warrington. The funding becomes available once a student has started attending the course in September. Pastoral Care & Support with Learning As a full-time student you will have a personal tutor who you will meet during induction. Your personal tutor will support you and others in the tutorial group on both an individual and group basis, and you will develop a Personal Action Plan. Your tutor will review your progress and put you in touch with other support staff as necessary.
