Interviews to some students
What do you think about this situation?
I know that the virus is a very strong flu and that it is very contagious.
It can spread through a sneeze, by air or by being close.
Personally, I am very worried about the virus because it spreads quickly so in my opinion a global pandemic can be very risky.
I am not one who follows the news a lot but from now on I listen all day as governments are closing all work spaces and the storage areas, however keeping all food and hygiene shops open as supermarkets and other stores.
Now that my country is blocked I am not very happy because I miss my friends and classmates. At home, however, I make sweets with my mother, I study and play on the playstation, but sometimes I get bored because I want to leave the house.
I am always positive so I think there will be a cure because all the scientists and virologists are working hard so that we can all face this emergency.
I don’t know what to ask to a virologist but there is one question I would ask for sure: what long-term effects will the virus cause?
Mattia C.
1. What do you know about the coronavirus?
I don’t know much about this virus, one sure thing I know is that it spreads very quickly.
The data show that from few days, the infected have become many.
I also know that there is no cure yet, and that’s a serious problem.
2. How worried are you about the coronavirus?
I am very worried because there is no cure yet, but we mustn’t panic, we have to try to stop the spread.
3. What has your country told you about the coronavirus?
My country is also worried about the consequences it could have.
My country forced people to stay at home and told them to go out only for basic needs.
4. How serious is a global pandemic?
Yes, this is a serious global pandemic because this virus has spread or is still spreading all over the world, all countries are facing this global problem which is causing a high number of victims.
5. What are governments doing to stop the pandemic?
In addition to forcing people to stay at home, governments have taken other measures such as: closing all schools and businesses except basic necessities.
6. What are you doing now that your country is in lockdown?
In this period, I always stay at home: most of time I study or clean the house, less frequently I cook or I stay in my garden with my dog.
7. Do you think scientists will find a cure for the coronavirus?
Sure, I think they will find a cure for the coronavirus but I also think it will take a long time, because first we need to verify that it works.
8. What questions would you like to ask the virologists?
First I’d like to know if it will actually take so long to find the cure.
I would also like to know if it is true that the elderly are the most exposed to this virus.
I would like to know if these measures are really needed.

Is the right to health guaranteed everywhere?
Health is an important human right, so it is universal and inalienable. We have studied the Agenda 2030 and in particular the 7th goal. Moreover, April 7th is the World Health Day. Click on the image to have a look at our work about health.
