Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actor and philanthropist He began his artistic career in the mid-1960s in the musical group The Jackson, in which he published, along with some of his brothers, ten albums up to 1975. In 1971 he began his solo career, although he continued to belong to the group. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music.
