An exhibition as part of H.R. Giger artwork
will arrive CDMX this year; becoming one
of the most waited exhibitions for 2019.
Probably you have ever seen Giger's work,
he was in charge of designing and
developing -along with Carlo Rambaldi-
the famous Alien and many scenarios for
the movie Alien, they even won the Oscar
for best special effects for this Ridlye
Scott's movie in 1980.
Hans Ruedi Giger has been recognized not
just because his involvement in the movie
Alien but also because he was involved in the
design of Poltergeist II, Alien 3, Species, and
even he designed the graphic part of
videogame Dark Seed.
As you could see, he focused on obscure art
with Lovecraft influence. In Switzerland there
is a museum dedicated to him with many of
his artworks and his personal collection. There
is still no an exact date for the opening, or it
has not even specified the place where the
exhibition will be installed but stay tunned for
further details.
In the exhibition, made of around
100 artworks, we could
appreciate paintings, furniture,
illustrations, models and
sculptures, among other things.
Many of this pieces have been
featured at european exhibitions,
while others belong to the private
collection of the artist.
