ORCHESTRA STARTS ITS
FIRST SEASON IN 2019 AT
FINE ARTS PALACE
The Fine Arts Camera
Orchestra was created by the
musicians Imre Hartmann and
Joseph Smilovits in 1956 with
the name of yolopatli, which
means “cure for the heart”.
Nowadays it has presence in
Mexico and countries such
Germany, Brasil USA, Portugal
and Costa Rica. This year its
first season starts on February
and they will perform at the
Conservatorio Nacional de
Música and Palacio de Bellas
Artes.
They start the season on
Sunday February 3rd at 5pm, in
the main hall of Fine Arts
palace. Jose Luis Castillo will
act as artistic director and Shari
Mason will be playing the violin.
throughout the 17 programs
that shape this tour there will be
performed pieces such as
“Serenata italina” from Hugo
Wolf, “Lullaby” from George
Gershwin, “Metamorfosis” from
Richard Strauss and “Nisi
Domininus” from Antonio
Vivaldi.
Among the featured artists
there are the pianists Marian
Sobula, Rolando Valdez,
Alexander Pachkov and Vlada
Vassilieva and Anatoly Zatin’s
duo; in strings we have Luz del
carmen Ávila, Adriana
Carrasco, Felisa Fernández.
While the host directors are
Jesús Medina, Guido Mariga
Guida, Jean Luc Tinged, Luis
Manuel Sánchez, José Areán
and Gabriela Díaz Alatriste.
The features will take place on
Thursdays at Fine Arts Palace -
tickets will cost from $30 to
$80- and on Sundays at Music
National Conservatory free
access.
