now, what’s next? after the huge debate his
sixth production opened, to some people the
have lost their essence, to others they just
grew up. Turner himself has said that he
doesn’t feel the same as with their debut
album, the one that gavethem the glory since
the very first step. Maybe it is just a penitence
, the way you show to the world with Whatever
People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not (2006),
you swept with all the local prizes and on top

(20017). Arctic Monkeys were boldly early for
their time and really accurate, they woke up
their generation, the same that nowadays
claims “Mardy Bum” although they couldn’t be
less interested in playing it.
Although the most nostalgic fans acclaim song such as
“Brainstorm” “Teddy Picker”, “Fluorescent Adolescent”,
“Love is a Laserquest” and “Cornerstone”., it would be a
list as large as their gigs’s setlist,  which try to have a
balance between their mythical past and what they are
now. Many would have arguments to say that AM is one
of the most overestimated bands in the last years and
rather it was a band that furled the most to the rock
from the start. Today they have the chance to
experiment because the acknowledgement they already
have it, developed an audience that will be following
them closely no matter what.
