The international book fair is celebrating 40 years and
following the tradition, the Palacio de Minería will fill
its space with all the newness in mexican editorial
industry, besides there will be activities such as chats,
concerts, conferences, narrations, lectures, round table,
tributes and books signing events.
Having Nuevo León as special guess you will be able to
find such a huge offer of public and private editorials,
spanning all literary genres, also there will be activities
which will allow you to get to know more about the art
and culture from Nuevo Leon.
There also will be a tribute to Alfonso Reyes ( 1889 - 1959 ) who was
borned in Monterrey, who is known as one of the most prolific
writers México has given to the world, besides he is known for his
work as diplomatic and founder of the Colegio Nacional. His
literary work covered genres as poetry, essay, theater and novels.
This year the FIL which is organized by the UNAM, expects an
assistance of around 100 thousand people, offering more than
1,000 different activities which will take place during eleven
days.
