Por lo tanto, esa primera exploración y el diagnóstico, son de máxima importan-
cia para poder llevar a cabo un tratamiento correcto, correspondiente con nuestra
profesionalidad.
La salud oral nos confirma, en muchas ocasiones la salud corporal integral, o nos
da el primer aviso serio de que algo está ocurriendo en nuestro organismo.
Haremos un recordatorio anatómico de los labios como candado de esa puerta de
entrada, que conjuntamente con los dientes, nos muestran la importancia de la
sonrisa como carta de presentación ante los demás.

ABSTRACT.
We consider of great interest the knowledge of the oral cavity and its pathology,
since the mouth is the entrance door not only of food, but of germs, toxins, and
sometimes of foreign bodies that provoke the disease. So much so, that it is the
first defensive barrier that the enemy finds in his eagerness to progress inside our
organism, maintaining our health.
We will talk about the mouth and its conformation, as well as the pathology
located or derived from it to the rest of our body.
The identification of oral lesions is the alarm that there may be diseases in other
parts of our economy.
A correct and early exploration, including radiological examination at the first
visit, helps to discover pathologies at a distance in our organism, as well as local
lesions that may remain hidden and asymptomatic at times, and that evolve to a
degeneration of both the mucous membranes and the dental and bone structures.
Throughout these years of clinical experience, our condition, provides the global
knowledge that interrelates the mouth and the organism in general, that is why
we must take care of our explorations, doing in this way the proper prevention of
systemic diseases of greater caliber.
Therefore, that first exploration and diagnosis are of the utmost importance in
order to carry out a correct treatment, corresponding with our professionalism.
The oral health confirms us, in many occasions, the integral corporal health, or
it gives us the first serious warning that something is happening in our organism.
We will make an anatomical reminder of the lips as a padlock of that entrance
door, which together with the teeth, show us the importance of smiling as a letter
of introduction to others.
