“The session was amazing. It was fast, and to the point.” Jesse recalled. He described a full-speed session focused strictly on fundamentals and even did a little pig in the middle like our club has been doing in practices recently. “Needless to say that night I slept like a baby.”

A vacation can’t be all work and no play though. Refreshed by a good night’s sleep, Jesse made the trip into Galway city to take in the museums and explore the city. He eventually found his way down to the famous Promenade, or “the Prom” as locals call it, in the Salthill area just south of the city center. Considered one of the premier resort locations in Ireland, Salthill spans two kilometers of the sandy beaches of Galway Bay and is renowned for its eateries and nightlife.

“The restaurants and pubs there were amazing; great food, live music, and great people,” said Jesse. “Everyone was amazed to see an O'Neills jacket with Milwaukee Hurling Club on it. It was a great conversation starter.”

Determined to make the most of his opportunity with the club, Rapkin attended another training session on Friday. This one was just as intense as the first, but was completely different in training style and focused on hitting repetitions.
