When: Sunday, August 24 (Championship Sunday) - 11:00 am - 12, Noon.
Where: The Pitch (Brown Deer Park, Field 2)
Who: Children ages four and up and adults. While the Clinic is targeted at Irish Fest attendees who have expressed an interest in hurling, we encourage MHC hurlers to reach out and invite family and friends to participate.
Why: Irish Fest provides the Milwaukee Hurling Club with a unique opportunity to showcase our Club and the great sport of hurling. At the "hitting tube," MHC players teach kids of all ages and adults how to hold and swing the hurley as well as hit the sliotar. In the nearby tent, festival goers can watch hurling in action and learn the rules of the game.
These activities generate plenty of interest and excitement. To capitalize on that, we are offering an opportunity to learn the basic skills of hurling - skills they can't do at Irish Fest.
And, by the way, its free. And if that's not enough after the Clinic participants can watch the youth play and enjoy a thrilling adult final featuring the Club's best two teams of 2014. Contact Brian Dake at [email protected] with any questions.
