After the lack of scoring in the previous quarter, the fourth was a whole different story. Swick Tech knew that it had to put some points on the board if they were going to take this game back from the Ravens. Their game plan seemed to be working too as Caleb “Bruiser” Fortier finally put the Terrors on the board with an impressive goal. It was the Comfort Keepers that would rally harder though as Angel drilled a couple more goals in to seal the deal for his team. Comfort Keepers walk away with a second win in as many weeks with a final score of 5-0 (15) to Swick Tech’s 1-0 (3).
As everyone gathered to celebrate the win and congratulate their friends, it was time to recognize the hard work that had gotten them here. The coaches this year were able to award one player with a Rookie of the Year title and this year’s deserving winner was Rowan “Wolverine” Karrer. In his first year, Wolverine made it to every practice and even worked with his dad throughout the year to consistently get better. It seems to be working too, because he has already scored a goal and several points for his Comfort Keepers squad. Congratulations to Wolverine and all the U11s for another great day at the pitch.
