“Hot off the presses!” “Rise and shine to the latest Dish from the Pitch!” These are
just a couple headlines seen on Facebook and email subject lines for our weekly
installment of The Dish from the Pitch. We’ve talked to many people up and down tent row
this season and most, if not all, of your feedback is very positive. We work hard trying to
bring you more than just game recaps. New this year has been our addition of articles like
this one. Feature stories that highlight not only our members, but our community as the
MHC. Afterall, we are a family. Like-minded lunatics playing a little known sport we love.
We had a blast writing this year, and we are aiming to extend the dish.
But this article isn’t about that. This article is an insight into the process of putting
out The Dish from start to publish. How we as writers, editors and graphics creators take
Jack Harrold’s quarter-by-quarter scores, Jason Kirkpatrick’s 3 pages of notes for one (yes,
one) game and condense them into the weekly publication we can’t wait to see in our
inbox.
