It’s Not Better in the Bahamas for Journalists

Bahamian journalist Candia Dames writes that far from the idyllic charm many outsiders envision when they think of the chain of islands that make up the Bahamas, the reality on the ground is that the government thwarts journalists’ efforts to do their jobs simply be refusing to engage the news media, despite a vow of transparency.
