are going through this transformation in terms of what America is , we also are also having to recognize that there ’ s a new form of intelligence that ’ s being developed . Artificial Intelligence is not something that belongs to anybody . It ’ s an alien form of intelligence . For the first time in the history of our species , we ’ ve created something that potentially will be smarter than we are . AI is already smarter than we are in certain ways . It can do things that humans cannot do .
“ Our challenge is to flood the zone with our narratives and overwhelm every social app , every television show , every national platform to tell our story . We need to flood the future ( information ) zone .”
And finally , Irvin offered this optimistic vision of the future that is grounded in a convincing perception of our past .
“ Black people are going to learn how to adapt to this new form of alien intelligence . . . I am completely optimistic about the ways the future will unfold because we ’ re going to adapt faster than some other groups because we ’ re used to adapting . We had to adapt . With this new technology that has no bounds , you can expect that we ’ re going to be successful in areas that previously we did not have access to . We will create new companies , new opportunities , and ways of doing things that young black people are considering today that we never would have considered before . And they ’ re going to be wildly successful .
“ So , I say bet on black because I can see ( our ) potential with all these new technologies ,” Irvin said .

“ When you look at the future of America only in the context of America , you are seeing a very narrow piece of what ’ s going on in the world . There is a rising of the global South , and I mean specifically for non-white people , that wants to rearrange things , rearrange power , and rearrange what the rules are going to be going forward . And these next 25 years , because of the country we live in , and its wealth , African Americans will have a disproportionate impact on how that these things all turn out .
