MG Car Club of South Australia MID WEEK LUNCH RUN NEWS From..Mike Greenwood RUN TO LANGHORNE CREEK WINERY – ANGUS PLAINS. A total of 17 vehicles met at the Craf- ers Hotel gathering for a long run down South to a Winery called Angus Plains which is situated just off the Lang- horne Creek Road a few K’s out of Lang- horne Creek. The group all enjoyed a coffee to start with and there was much chattering in this lovely old pub, recently the winner of a string of accreditations in the latest round of awards. I had sent out a number of copies of the run sheet as Club members emailed me so they knew which way to get to the winery. The route is part of one of the Kimber Runs of old which does give the driver a bit of work to do in the early sec- tion before the run sheet allowed for some acceleration on the old Princes Highway. Because of the winter weather a number of the members drove in non-MG’s (plastics) including us in our MG6 Turbo so there was only one stoppage, Leigh Richter ran out of petrol but had a supply on board, and a few who took a wrong turn at Callington.
