BREAKFAST RUN REPORT From.. Steve Spong,

T

Breakfast Run to Goolwa Beach 25 March 2018
he weather gradually improved as we drove south on our annual run to Goolwa Beach and to Don Walker ' s place. This is always a great opportunity to catch up on Don ' s latest project, and this year he did not disappoint.
Having recently sold his lovely TC, Don had bought a 2.3 litre, 1936 MG SA Tickford Drophead " Foursome " no-less. The car is one of only 4 or 5 in the Country and came from Gosford, and to say the least is in need of some slight renovation. So Don is undertaking a ground-up restoration and we will be very keen to monitor his progress.
A first timer on the day was local Rob Gordon in his very smart TF. We also met Wayne Spenser who was on a short trip back from the UK, where he is an engineer with Red Bull and in fact works on their RB14 F1 car!
So thanks to all who came, and especially to Don with assistance from Jeanette and Campbell the dog, for their warm welcome and hospitality. With thanks, as always, to David McNabb for his great " happy snaps ".
