Actually the ex Ivey-Cundy , now Line-
han TD owned TD has not had the hood
down for a year, time to get with it
Mozza.
The latecomers mentioned earlier were
the appointed photographer, TD
McNabb and Richard M alias Ian Hobbs
who for some unexplained reason com-
pletely missed the kick off time at the
Tavern.
The Auld’s & the Driver’s had a reason-
able excuse , both wanting to fulfil their
desire to contribute to the “bucket list” in
life, headed to Flemington for the Mel-
bourne Cup. Peter of course had an
ulterior motive, not really interested in
the fillies and champagne, he was sniff-
ing out his old F Type Magna that he
reluctantly let go 60 years ago , now
lying unrestored in Melbourne. Sad
really.
Goldy & Kath. Now there is a story.
Kath was due to go in for another hip
replacement that week however the
Gold decides to bring her to the meeting
in the not so reliable TC and I venture to
say a not so comfortable a ride up from
Murray Bridge and back. You know
Goldy, that is great dedication on your
part, you earned a point in the Irvine
Cup but don’t let on to Kath.
Peter Micklem. Yes another tale! En-
gine paint panic. The TD is in bits, the
rewar and T Register report dinner
meeting held at the Stanley Bridge
Tavern , Onkaparinga Valley Road VER-
DUN.
Attendies amounted to 42 seated this
year, a wonderful turnout , old and new
faces in a variety of vehicles, 10 register
vehicles counting the two very late com-
ers who managed a feed in the end.
Apologies: There were quite a few
really,18 in all and I cannot embarrass
them here, later maybe, and of those
who were there I am pleased to say that
some can be mentioned.
New members: I am pleased to ac-
knowledge Peter & Diane Lancaster as
first timers and I know that like many
others they enjoyed the night. The Lan-
casters are the owners of a brace of T
Type MG’s and a Y Type great to have
them with us for sure and I hope we see
them again.
The old brigade: Wonderful to see the
great Don Offler and his wife Sue, Elaine
Ivey who is a regular as an annual
event, Garry Chapman , Reg O’Malley
and of course Ian ‘Curly’ –Walker. Don
Offler has not been in the greatest of
health and its fantastic that he came
along. The TF is not getting much of a
workout he says.
Breaking News: Chris and Heather
Bennett are planning a trip to Egypt they
say, you would have thought that seeing
the pyramids in South America was a
enough, pyramid stalking is all the go
heh?
The Crafers Hotel kick off was on again
this year , 4 TC’s and a roofed TD were
in the line up, the owners of course
roosting on the wall with a pint of lager
set the scene for the dash to Verdun.
