MID WEEK LUNCH RUN NEWS From Diane Holmes

orty-one degrees was forecast so only one MGF was present on the day and it didn’ t quite finish the run. It was cool when we met at the Crafers Inn and we travelled down Greenhill Road in air conditioned cars to the venue at the Tea Tree Gully Golf Club. When we visited there a couple of years ago, we were very impressed with the food & service, but most of all the acoustics excel at this venue.
On our arrival at the golf club David had a call from our security monitoring service- as we were close to home we drove back to check it out. Along this stretch of road Gary & Jenice were waiting patiently in the shade for the arrival of the tow truck. We pulled over to talk with them & they expressed their gratitude for the help they’ d received from the lunch runners in their time of need. The problem that had stopped them was a burnt-out rotor button.
In April we will be moving the lunch run to the first Thursday for this month only – due to the Easter holidays.
Next mid week lunch run will be on 9 March, 2017 to The Barker Hotel meeting at the Arkaba Hotel, Fullarton from 10.30am and departing 11.30am.
