MG Car Club of South Australia ber of drivers had a scare or a spin but the track dried out and times began to drop. Wes’s 1100 had decided Saturday was enough and had no interest in coming on Sunday. In typical motorsport gener- osity Nick Wood from Geelong offered Wes a drive in his MG 1300 which al- lowed Wes to compete and achieve a PB at Rob Roy. As usual the MGCC Vic team provided a cooked breakfast and lunch at the track and a most enjoyable day was had. On the Saturday night we gathered at the MGCC clubrooms for a gourmet BBQ dinner and some enjoyable social fun. The guest speaker was detained at the last minute by a car accident (all OK) so we were entertained with some video clips of hillclimbing at Templestowe in the 1960s. A great night. Sunday night presentation dinner was again at the clubrooms and very well catered. MGCC SA took out the 2017 Challenge and have brought home the trophy. Thanks to the MGCC of Victoria for or- ganizing the event and graciously host- ing us at the social events and thanks to MSCA Vic for a well run sprint. It was a great weekend for all and we look for- ward to hosting one in SA next June. Murray Stephenson Kim Cole Vic.
