BREAKFAST RUN REPORT

Breakfast Run to Port Elliot

here was a good turn out for the
Port Elliot breakfast run with many
regulars, those returning after a break
due to other commitments and travel,
and two new members on their first run.
Steve Pridgeon is the son of long time
club member Neville who has now en-
trusted the car to Steve, hence he and
his wife Sarah came along on their first
club run as well as it being only the sec-
ond time he had driven the car. So well
done and we look forward to seeing
them both at future club events. It was
also good to catch up with Victor Harbor
Historic Motor Vehicles Car Club mem-
bers Ian & Jenny Read who often join us
in their MGB when we head south.
Adrian and Rosa once again turned up
at the start to see us all safely off but
were unable to join in on the run. They
had another very important engage-
ment, being the 80th Birthday celebra-
tion of Gloria George, so a Happy
"Special" Birthday to Gloria from all of
us.
The day stayed warm and dry but there
was a little more breeze about than that
of a gentle zephyr, it in fact felt more like
a force 10 gale at some times on the
drive, with dust and debris blowing every
where. However all arrived safely and
we parked up on Freeman Lookout at
the end of The Strand, which offered
some great, albeit windy, views across
Encounter Bay.
