MG Car Club of South Australia
MID WEEK LUNCH RUN NEWS
From ..Diane Holmes
Thursday 9 November, 2017.
W
hat a really great day when we
returned to Paech Farm at Wis-
tow. The day began when we met at the
Crafers Hotel for coffee and in 2015
when a major restoration took place in
this establishment with stunning results
it would have been the ideal time to in-
clude an acoustic ceiling. However, out-
side a very attractive area has been cre-
ated, which would suit our chatty group
when we are meeting in the warmer
months. Let’s try that out in the future,
There was a great collection of MGs this
month to take advantage of the good
weather when we drove through the hills
travelling via Greeenhill Road through to
Balhannah onto Littlehampton & Mt.
Barker. Bev & Steve were there to meet
us – they are the dedicated caretakers
of this property & coordinated the pro-
ceedings starting with a generous lunch
of delicious salads to accompany the
barbecue. We were seated very com-
fortably in the large shed with exhibits
lining the walls – there is a limit of 44 so
unfortunately we couldn’t accept a
dozen of our bookings.
bilia has increased as they have opened
up more rooms to showcase their family
collection, which is kept in immaculate
condition This is a such a tribute to Bev
& Steve and a priceless opportunity for
us to visit a bygone era at a leisurely
pace. To finish they provided a wonder-
ful array of treats for afternoon tea,
which was appreciated by all.
Next year we will be meeting FOR
LUNCH ONLY on 11 January, 2018 at
the Torrens Arms Hotel 95 Belair
Road, Kingswood at 12.30pm. The
mid week lunch runs will resume on 8
February, 2018. Please remember to
book if you would like to come as we
need to confirm numbers for the ven-
ues. Diane & David Holmes email
