CLUB REGISTRATION FOR
HISTORIC VEHICLES – NEW CODE
OF PRACTICE
A new Code of Practice, which changes
its name from Conditional Registration
to Club Registration, has come into
force from July 1, 2017 onwards, remov-
ing many requirements. See web ad-

drive and street rod. Also, see Road
Traffic (Miscellaneous) Regulations
2014 particularly Regulation 53, for fur-
ther details on vehicle modifications.
Most vehicle variations will now be
accepted.
Whether or not you, as owner have ob-
tained an exemption from Vehicle
Standards for significant variations,
will not in any way be the responsibility
of the Club or its inspectors. The re-
sponsibility for holding an exemption for
modifications will rest with the current
owner or driver of the vehicle.
