MG Car Club of South Australia PRE-WAR & T REGISTER From...John Bray 3 November 2016 Prewar & T Register dinner meeting at the Bridgewater Hotel, Bridgewater . A Trumping good show ! A great start to this night commenced at the BP OTR at Belair where 12 Register cars and 2 modern MG’s assembled for the run up to Bridgewater where upon arrival photographer Terry Wright excelled in capturing the mood of the event with the western lower level carpark filled with T Register vehicles and accompanying MG’s, check out the photos on the website. The line up of cars consisted of 16 from the Register, 4 other MG’s total 20 cars, not quite a record but impressive. 32 signed the book, 40 sat down for the dinner. Apologies. Received by various sources included messers Forth, Shepherd, Hosking, Glasson, Neilson, Fisher, Bazzica, Jellett, Lyons, Brice, Davies, & Hillary Clinton. General business: Fortunately or unfortunately depends on how you see it, there was none. A good thing really as it would have been a shame to interrupt the busy and enthusiastic 28 conversations of the assembled populous. TD McNabb, arrived late and tried, but he was swiftly put to the sword and told to butt out until next meeting. There were no complaints about the food , service and venue to my knowledge and I did really appreciate the words of support generously sent post the meeting. I take it that everyone had paid at the end of the night and there were no calls for me to run back and wash dishes thankfully. Great to see a good number of partners ( female) with members attending most of whom took away prizes from the raffle through the generosity of the members spending the extra dollar to impress. Next year’s raffle prizes will consist of hair products, chocolates and facial creams just to
