MG Car Club of South Australia
Ray Finch, who is most likely to rejoin
the MG Car Club is said to have rebuilt over 172 T Types in his time
which is another amazing statistic in
a lifetime.
Peter Auld, fresh back from the continent and the Goodwood Revival in the
UK insisted that all good MG members should add it to the “bucket list” ,
Arthur of course has filled that aspect
of his bucket.
Mike Greenwood presented the current T Type Magazine from QLD, featuring the V8 TC of Roger Waters
(deceased) owned now by John Kerr.
Points of interest, generally of no
significance.
What is truly amazing, is that the
“serial pest” John Neilson , who has
had a TC in the club for at least 40
years was gobsmacked to find his
raffle prize, a bottle of Old Speckled
Hen, octagonal logo, made in Abingdon UK, the bloody home of MG was
actually named after a famous MG of
the 30’s, the “cream cracker” brown &
cream MG.
See, you can teach a
mangy old dog, new tricks eh ?
Geoff Glasson was so absorbed by
the prospect of pushing his TD to the
limit on the freeway that he left his
phone and booze bag behind, he did
confess that it was a fast drive home.
John Tamke did turn up, has read the
