(Magnette) and Roger and Carolyn
Boylen (2 MGA’s) first time attendees
to a Register Meeting, although we
had met Roger and Carolyn previously.

Bob Bazzzicas, West Beach on 17th

Thanks to everyone who attended on
what could have been a stinker of a
night weather wise.

PS One of our members would like
to buy a set of chrome wires for his
1960 MGA. If you a set available,
contact me and I will pass on the details.
Also on a similar subject, a club member has an MGA workshop manual
and a Magnette workshop manual for
sale. Currently they are $75 + ph for
the MGA and $80 + ph for the Magnette from Pitstop books. Again, if
you are interested, contact me and I
will pass on your details.
W
e were lucky enough to dodge
the spring storms and 26 members braved the weather. The forecast was good and encouraged four
“A’s” and one “B” to drive to Modbury
North. We had apololgies from Shelly
and Bob Bazzica, The Caffins, Allan
Hawkes and Karen Stephenson(night
shift).
Bob Bazzica donated a very nice
wooden box to the Register and we
decided to raffle it at the next meeting
and the proceeds will be given to a
charity (to be decided). This box
would fit into the spare battery space
when the two 6v batteries are replaced with one 12v. Could be used
for spares, or, some other imaginative
idea.
David Archdall had the bonnet up on
his A, a foreign noise from brakes, but
it was not there when checked out by
several authorities on the night. However, the noise returned when he was
nearly home. More work required.
Geoff Goode requested the old sway
bar from the blue”B” and was able to
help a couple of members with questions about adding these to the cars.
Although not always historically correct, as a safety issue, Historic Registration would allow sway bars to be
added.
Lots of reminders to members about
the Parts Sale on 14th October and
the Pig on Spit social night on 29th
October, and the Christmas Lunch
