Black Bear Coffee – Located in Nampa in front of the CWI Micron Campus. The atmosphere is great, 8 large comfy chairs to snuggle up in and 8 or so solid wood tables. The husband and wife team have owned Black Bear for 6 years, with the opening of new shops in the area this great meeting place could use our support. They have great coffee, also.

Discovery Center of Idaho- Located downtown next to Julia Davis park and Zoo Boise. Idaho’s hands on science and technology center for all ages has several rotating exhibits throughout the year. This summer, it is their Leonardo DaVinci exhibit. It is truly amazing and worth going to see. Members pay only $3 and with daily specials and senior rates, it is definitely a nice place to go and get out of the warmer weather.
Why Mama Approved? The atmosphere is ever changing and there is so much to do and see that you won’t get bored! Besides science, math and the physical world is so in right now. Daily tours are also available but self guided tours of the facilities are a lot of fun and what museum can you go where they actually encourage you to touch and explore on your own? A truly must see place for the young and young explorer at heart.
