Melissa Casey with Melissa Casey Designs loves creating items that couples can use in both their wedding and in their new home . Cutting boards and signs with scripture , a quote or the couple ' s name are an easy “ go-to ” item many brides and grooms have had engraved on either wood or acrylic . What about a unique “ guest book ?” Melissa has made engraved signs with the couple ’ s name and wedding date . Guests can then sign this keepsake with a permanent pen and the bride and groom will always be able to remember who celebrated with them on their wedding day . Another of Melissa ’ s favorite trends is having the wedding vows engraved . What a beautiful remembrance of the promises you made to each other . “ I love engraving anything that comes from the heart ,” says Melissa . She can even take the handwriting of a loved one who has passed on , like from a note or special quote , and engrave that as a memento for your home . Melissa says unusual shapes with simple , sleek fonts are trending right now .
Luisa Smith , owner of Cornerstone Jewelry , is seeing a cycle of vintage wedding decor coming back into style . Cornerstone can engrave wine glasses , flasks , cake knives , shot glasses , even key chains as bridal party gifts that can be used again or beautifully displayed in your new home . When Luisa got married , she wanted to reuse a special piece of jewelry in a way that was still pretty and meaningful . She took a favorite necklace , repurposed it into her bridal headpiece , then afterwards , because it held so much meaning to her , used that same string of jewelry to adorn her bridal picture in a frame . Cornerstone is a generational jewelry store , where customers come back again and again for years , using their favorite , trusted professional . One couple , who have been customers of Cornerstone for years , recently renewed their vows . The husband brought four vintage charger plates into the store and Luisa engraved their original wedding date , the date they renewed their vows and a special quote onto the chargers . The couple now uses these chargers in their home on their dining room table . Luisa promises , “ Reusing your wedding decor is a special way to commemorate this important day in your lives .”
