from boho to modern
Vintage glass , antique plates , lots of candlelight – Jackie Huff collected all of these items and more to create her own gorgeous wedding in 2014 . She held onto these acquired treasures and opened Something Borrowed Event & Rentals in 2020 , and then the pandemic happened . Starting their business off slow actually helped Jackie and her husband , for now they are in demand and have weddings booked a year out . Something Borrowed Event & Rentals is in Fair Grove , Missouri , just 15 minutes north of Springfield .
When you come to their showroom , Jackie and her design assistant , Chalise , will sit down with you and go over your ideas , make suggestions and inspire you with their collection of unique furniture pieces , settees , an antique bar cart , extensive collection of vintage glassware , antique plates , flatware and more . Jackie suggests couples plan early ! “ When couples wait even until just 1-2 months out from their wedding , they have fewer options . Someone else might want those particular pieces too !” She also suggests renting as much as possible . If you buy items for your wedding , you then have to come up with storage for all of those items as well as the expense of purchasing everything . Something Borrowed specializes in creating vintage looks and Jackie says one of her favorite weddings was at a bride ’ s parent ’ s backyard . They created the perfect atmosphere for this family wedding by lavishing the yard with farmhouse tables , lanterns , lots of candlelight and antique place settings . The effect the bride and Something Borrowed created was stunning and magical .
Jackie sees many requests for events with a Bohemian flair , whether that be modern boho or vintage boho . Lots of brides want gold accents , pampas grass and settees , but Something Borrowed can accommodate many other styles of weddings as well . Jackie loves to brainstorm with brides and help make their dreams a reality .

Farmhouse tables ! A long row of tables set up end to end , decorated and styled beautifully with place settings , candles , flowers and more is so dramatic and stunning . It is always a show stopper .
