Since 1987 , the Hemphill family has been renting items to the Springfield area . They started with mainly construction rentals , but also had a few tables , chairs and things to equip a party or an event . After a career in law , Darick Hemphill joined the family business and saw the need for more party rentals in the Springfield area . Darick and his wife , Amanda , began building their inventory and now Eventful Rental has multiple warehouses of rental items including over 21 chair style choices , lounge furniture , tents , linens , arches , dinnerware , flatware and anything else you might need to make your wedding perfect . Darick is constantly scouring antique markets , vendor shows and various sales to find hidden gems for you to use to create a wedding that is both unique and memorable .
Plans are in the works for an expansion of their current showroom next year so you can come to their showroom and see your dream come to life . Peruse the expansive selection of linens , flatware and dinnerware to set your dream table – tweaking and polishing your tablescape with their design experts to achieve just the look you want . For visual people who need to see their table set up , Amanda says this exercise has proven to be helpful .
Amanda keeps an eye on the latest trends and prides herself on being able to offer her couples the newest , stylish items . She sees midcentury furniture designs starting to appear , as well as an uptick in black as a color choice for flatware , plates and even chairs . Eventful Rental has all of this and more . “ Rustic and Bohemian chic will always be in demand here in the midwest , but if you want something
we do not have in stock , I can usually get it from our connections across the country .”
Keeping your day as stress free as possible is top priority for all of the staff at Eventful Rental . “ I will drop everything if there is an unexpected problem . I do not want the bride to stress over these details .” With that in mind , she advises couples to book early if you know you want a specific , unique item . “ People tend to wait on rentals , and I understand that , but if your dream is to get married under an arch , let ’ s go ahead and secure that arch for your wedding day as soon as possible .” For some of these larger , unique items , there might be a limited supply and Amanda wants to help make your dream wedding a reality .
One of her favorite memories is of a bride who specifically wanted a covered stage . They met several times , designing and brainstorming the complicated stage . After the wedding was over , Amanda received the sweetest thank-you note . The bride appreciated all the time and effort it took and felt like the stage completed the wedding she had always dreamed of .
