from missed moments to mr . and mrs .

Picture this – It ’ s a crisp autumn evening and Friday night lights shine brightly across an energized football stadium . Just before kick-off , a football player and a cheerleader lock eyes and can ’ t deny the energy that courses between them . Well , for Victoria and Austin , their first encounter was pretty similar to this . Seven years ago , Victoria , a cheerleader , met Austin , a football player , and the two continuously seemed to run in the same circle . Unlike the common stories where the two sporty counterparts instantly fall madly in love , for Victoria and Austin it wasn ’ t necessarily love at first sight . From the get-go it was clear that Austin seemed interested in Victoria , however she was convinced he was merely attracted to her friend . So , miscommunications led to missed moments as Victoria found herself in other relationships and Austin found himself missing out on the right time to make a move .
Nevertheless , despite a few years of continuously missing the right moment to exit the friendzone , Victoria and Austin met up in August of 2020 to go out on a date . Seven years had come and gone since their first encounter , and it finally appeared as though the time for them had come . Chemistry and feelings ensued as their date went splendidly and the two began dating soon after . Much to her own surprise , Victoria actually professed her love for Austin first and the two were engaged three short months after they got together .
Ready and willing to take the reins on planning their dream wedding , Victoria got to work . With nine months between them and their nuptials , she got busy with the help of Google and her own intuition . She chose a natural and rustic design with mauve accents and modern elegance . Maintaining an excited and organized approach to wedding planning , Victoria was pleased to see the wedding of her dreams take shape . Austin couldn ’ t have agreed more !
As their August ceremony drew near , Victoria notes how absolutely blown away she was with how much she and her future husband were reflected in their wedding celebration . Her soon-to-be sister-in-law even captured her love for her favorite film saga , " Lord of the Rings ," in their wedding cake combining the couple ’ s simple and elegant vision with a movie-inspired cake topper . Inspired by the cake itself , the bride and groom even decided to cut their wedding cake with a sword .
Surrounded by their closest loved ones , Victoria and Austin soaked up every second of their special day . Victoria looks back on that day with happiness and says to future brides that her best advice would be to sneak in many special moments between you and your spouse , for the day truly flies by and you won ’ t regret the times you get to share – just the two of you .
She says that her favorite part of their wedding was the first look that they shared . It was an intimate and genuine moment that Victoria got to share with her groom before the hustle and bustle of the wedding day . It ’ s a moment the two will reminisce on forever . Despite the missed connections that kept finding them throughout the early years of their relationship , Austin and Victoria found their way to each other in the end . It was a long journey , spanning nearly a decade before this former footballer and cheerleader fell in love , but it was a story that took the Zeiglers from missed moments to Mr . and Mrs . XmW
