Once a percussionist came to her with
a picture of a heavy, bass drum ring he
wanted to create to propose to his girlfriend.
He showed the picture to other
jewelers, getting quotes of $5000 - $6000
for this custom engagement ring. Luisa
and her staff met with him and asked
him to bring them a picture of his own
bass drum. They came up with an original
design, but it was still out of his
price range. Heartbroken, he was about
to give up on his dream when Luisa
suggested that he go home and ask his
mom, grandma, dad, and any other family
members who would like to contribute
their broken jewelry or gold to help
make this ring and they would forever be
a part of his love story. Their old jewelry
could be their wedding gift to the couple.
Thrilled, he came back to Cornerstone
with a bag of mismatched earrings, class
rings, watches and broken chains from
ecstatic family members who were happy
to contribute and had enough gold to
bring the price down from $4000 to $600!
This is the magic that Cornerstone Fine
Jewelry can create for you. Repurposing
family heirlooms, recycling broken jewelry
and creating unique, custom pieces are
their specialty. Most diamonds, rubies,
sapphires and emeralds in decent condition
can be used and most metals can be
melted down as well. This process can
dramatically cut the cost down on that
perfect piece you have always wanted –
usually taking only 3-4 weeks to create.
All their work is done in house and they
never have to ship anything out. You can
stop by the store at anytime during the
process to see your custom creation!
What if you do not know what your soonto-be
fiance might want? The stone can
be bought and placed in a solitaire setting
for the proposal. Later, the engaged
couple can come back together and create
a custom design with the talented
staff at Cornerstone and get credit toward
your dream ring from the returned
solitaire setting.
Cornerstone also offers its customers use
of their special app to create custom jewelry.
