The Proof is in the Stats

Students in the north metro are a key part of Anoka County’ s growing workforce pipeline. Local school districts continue to produce strong outcomes, with a 93.8 % high school graduation rate, reflecting the region’ s commitment to student success and career readiness. According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development( DEED), the Twin Cities metro area remains the state’ s largest employment center, creating strong demand for skilled workers. Through partnerships between schools, businesses, and community organizations, north metro students are gaining the education and career pathways needed to fill high-demand roles in fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, technology, and skilled trades.

Supporting the Next Generation of Civic Leaders
In 2026, the MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce partnered with the U. S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th graders flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes with finalists being invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026.
We believe that informed and active citizens make for a strong country, a strong economy, and a strong workforce, and that our continued prosperity depends on the strength of all three. Through the Bee, we are promoting greater civic knowledge in Minnesota and celebrating our civic pride.
