The city and private sector collaborated to open Bunker Lake Industrial Park in 2018, offering 880,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space. The park is home to Delta ModTech, 401 Manufacturing, Northwoods Manufacturing, and Adrenaline Sports Center. Existing buildings and the remaining 40 acres are available for building to suit leasing options. New grade separated interchanges are being constructed to improve safety, access, efficiency, and reduce travel times. Looking into the future, their population is expected to reach 39,150 by 2040, with 2700 more households and 620 businesses. Employment is also expected to rise to 8,400 by 2040. The city is working with the private sector to develop a mixed-use, transit-oriented COR development, with 50 acres left for retail and residential development.

Ramsey has two school districts that serve them: Anoka-Hennepin and Independent School District No. 728. Anoka-Hennepin is the largest school district in Minnesota, serving over 38,000 students in 13 communities. Independent School District No. 728, on the other hand, serves more than 13,000 students in the cities of Elk River, Otsego, Rogers, Zimmerman, and surrounding areas.
