TCCI Awards for Business Excellence Distributed

Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce & Industry ( TCCI ) has honored successful businesspersons with the business excellence awards on 12 June at Trivandrum .
Governor of Kerala , Nikhil Kumar inaugurated the function and presented the awards . Biju Jacob ( PTC Group ), T Biju Kumar ( Mukthi Pharma ), Chandrasekharan Nair ( Ambadi Tyres ), Gireesh Chandran ( Sree Padmanabha Theatre ), J Hareendran Nair ( Pankajakasthuri Herbals ), V N Jayasankar ( Babas Colour lab ), S Manikandan ( wholesale dealer , Chalai market ), J D Mohan ( Sravia Advertising ), E M Najeeb ( Air Travel Enterprises ), P Radhakrishan Nair ,

Sudheesh Kumar ( Hotel Sea Face ), Y Vijayan ( Vijaya Press ) and S Vijayakumar ( Vijayakumar and Easwar Chartered Accountants ) are the winners of this award . Special awards were presented to architect Jayachandran ( posthumous ) and South Indian Bank chairman and managing director V A Joseph .
“ Business excellence award is given to encourage and motivate the business field in Trivandrum since 2010 . Last year 26 awards were given and this year there are 13 awards and 2 special awards . TCCI is also planning to take up charity related projects . TCCI is supporting the government in resolving problems like waste management and spreading of disease .”
“ I am happy to state that we had an overwhelming response from the membership and we received all applications on time for scrutiny and further processing . After careful evaluation the committee decided to bestow awards to 13 outstanding businessmen . ”
During the inaugural address , Governor insisted that the close interaction between the government and commerce , trade and industries is needed for the development and prosperity of the state .
TCCI president C Chandramohanan presided over the function . INKEL Ltd managing director and chief patron of this year ’ s award committee , T Balakrishnan IAS also addressed the function .
