Show video clip at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiwgpA4ReEc to give chn a
„virtual field trip‟ to the rainforest.
Discuss what we learnt from the video.
Read „Rainforests‟ text together.
Highlight key vocab and use dictionaries to find definitions of tricky words.
Demonstrate how to use the text to find answers to comprehension questions.
Task: Chn to work independently to answer questions based on the text they have read.
ACTIVITY ASSESSMENT
Good activity to develop reading skills as well as providing chn with lots of relevant
information about our topic.

Important reading skills improved.
CONCLUSIONS AS TO THE STUDENTS‟ BEHAVIOUR, INTEREST, ACTIVITY:
Chn were engaged and well-behaved.
Chn answered questions well although some chn struggled with inference type questions so
needed extra support.
